Amy D. Phillips

Amy D. Phillips, 73, of Decatur, IN, passed away Wednesday evening, June 24, 2026, at Parkview Regional Medical Center. She was born in Atlantic, Iowa, on December 3, 1952, the daughter of Lester I. and Donnis M. (Coomes) Phillips.

She graduated in 1971, from Northville High School, in Northville, MI, received a Bachelor of Arts from Fort Wayne Bible College, and then was licensed in Massage Therapy in 1998. Amy worked at CTS in Berne & Elkhart for 10 years and Stillwater Hospice from 1998 – 2026.

Amy lived a life deeply rooted in faith, family, and community. She was a devoted member of St. Mark's Church, sang in the choir, involved in Sunday School, Parish Council Chair and was a current Lay Leader. Amy was also committed to missions, participating in several mission trips abroad.

She played on the Women's Softball League and coached Junior High Basketball at South Adams. She was a passionate fan, for the Iowa Hawkeyes and Michigan. Amy loved horses!

Amy is survived by her mother, Donnis Phillips of Decatur, IN; 2 brothers, Brad Phillips of Irmo, SC, and Greg (Saleena) Phillips of Fayetteville, GA; a sister, Joella Phillips of Decatur, IN; nieces, Shenandoah Flora & Brittni Phillips; nephews, Dakota Monarque, Seth & Nathan Phillips.

Visitation will be from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at Haggard-Hirschy & Zelt Funeral Home.

Due to health issues in the Phillips family, the burial and a Memorial Service to celebrate Amy’s life will be held at St. Mark’s Church later in the month of July. Date to be announced in the near future.

Memorials may be made to Capital Campaign 2026 at St. Mark’s Church.
