Ann M. (Gase) Reinhart

Ann Marie (Gase) Reinhart, 53, of Decatur, IN, passed away on Saturday, October 7, 2023, at her residence. She was born in Decatur, IN, on August 12, 1970, the daughter of the late Donald L. and Carol J. (Schuller) Gase.

She was a parishioner of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church and was a 1989 graduate of Bellmont High School. She worked as a homemaker and owned and operated Swiss Ice for several years.

Ann was a counselor to many and would help anyone in need. She never knew a stranger and loved little kids. She also loved Halloween and decorating for it.

She is survived by her spouse, Rick Reinhart of Decatur and a daughter, Ashton Marie (Blake) Lewis of Muncie. She was looking forward to meeting her grandchild due in January and she also leaves behind many, many friends.

Ann was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Timothy A. Gase, Stephen L. Gase, and Daniel L. Gase.

Visitation will be from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 11, 2023 at Haggard – Hirschy & Zelt Funeral Home, with reciting of the Holy Rosary at 2:30 p.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 12, 2023, in St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, with visitation prior from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. in St. Mary’s Parish Hall. Officiating will be Father Dave Ruppert and burial will take place in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to PAWS of Adams County or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
