Barbara M. (Cass) Sipe

Barbara M. Sipe, 62, of Bluffton, Indiana, passed away Sunday, September 10, 2023, at Ascension St. Vincents Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was born on November 11, 1960, in Rochester, New York, adopted and raised by her loving parents, Stephen F. and Dorothy (Young) Cass. On February 10, 2009, she married Jared Lee Sipe, he preceded her in death on August 13, 2023.

In high school, Barb enjoyed playing volleyball and twirled baton. The love she was raised with carried on into her career, when she chose the selfless profession of becoming a paramedic. It was one of her favorite jobs. She loved anything purple, and doted on her cats.

While Barb loved with all her heart, she was well known for her outspokenness, and will be remembered for it. A woman who treasured life, and everyone in it, she will be deeply missed. 

Barb is survived by her daughters, Jerrica A. Longsworth (Andy) of Decatur, IN, and Nichole M. Colwell of Bluffton, IN; 3 sons, Brandon, Noah, and Isaac Sipe all of Fort Wayne, IN; 13 grandchildren; a brother, Gregory (Shirley) Cass of Celina, OH.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Stephen & Dorothy Cass; her husband, Jared L. Sipe.

Per request of the family, a private Celebration of Life will be held.
