Carol D. (Doherty) Bodle

Carol D. Bodle, 75, of Decatur, IN passed away at her residence on Wednesday, November 20, 2024. Carol was born on February 27, 1949 in Decatur, to the late John Doherty Jr. and Mary D. (Davidson) Doherty. On January 29, 1982, Carol married Gene E. Bodle.

Carol is a 1967 graduate of Geneva H.S. She retired after 15 years of employment at Wal-Mart and was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Gene E. Bodle of Decatur; 5 children, Nikki (Sam) Hunley of Ft. Wayne, Ktrina (Travis Thomas) Wolff of Ft. Wayne, Mindi Winter of Decatur, Gene (Mia) Bodle II of Ft. Wayne and Alex Bodle of Craigville; 3 siblings, Kay Strausburg of Portland, Mike (Linda) Doherty of Geneva and Vickie Brotherton of Bryant; 18 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.

Carol was preceded in death by 3 siblings, Wendy Doherty, Larry “Butch” Doherty and Sandy McIntyre.

Per Carol’s request, there will be no services.
