Charles L. (Chuck) Hamilton (69) was born on April 17, 1953 and passed away on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at Lee County Hospital, near his home in Estero, Florida.
Chuck retired at the age of 50 from The Heat and Frost Insulators Local #41 with 30 years of service. Chuck enjoyed spending time with his family and friends more than anything. His passions were boating, fishing off the dock with his grandchildren at Salamonie Reservoir, golfing, Notre Dame Football, and listening to music that just hit your soul.
His evenings were filled with laughter, drinks, jokes, and sunsets with the love of his life of 49 years, Nancy. Chuck was a lifelong member of The Salamonie Redneck Yacht Club and well known around the lake as "The Godfather" that's "No Sh*t?" or "No Kidding?"as he would say.
Chuck is survived by his wife, Nancy (Rickord) Hamilton, son, Jason (Katie) Hamilton; daughter, Mandy (Nate) Painter; grandchildren, Aubree (John) Mahlan, Olivia Hamilton, Kenedy Painter, Kamden Painter and two great grandchildren whom he adored, Paxtyn and Kasen.
Chuck is survived by his siblings, Vivian (Dick) Rumple, Dave (Jeanne) Hamilton, Alan (Joy) Hamilton, and Rex Hamilton.
Chuck was proceeded in death by his father and mother, Carl and Bonnie Hamilton and his sister Carol Mckean.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Chuck's honor on Saturday, February 4th from 2-7 at Union Township Hall 4555 E 800 N, Decatur, IN 46733. Family and friends are asked to come as Chuck would remember you and have one last CHEERS with him. Food and drinks provided as Chucks favorite music will fill the room.
