Cheryl A. Jackson

Cheryl A. Jackson, 67, of Decatur, Indiana, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, March 24, 2023 at Lutheran Hospital. Cheryl was born on August 23, 1955 and raised in Decatur, IN, to the late Roy and Lucille (Tinkham) Kaehr.

She was a loving wife, mother, Granny, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, cousin, and friend. She stood by God and always put others first.

For over a decade she ran Little Rascals Daycare. Touching the lives of so many families was a source of pride for her. Many daycare kids still stop by the house to visit.

She loved all her children and grandchildren dearly. Whether watching them in their various sports, attending recitals, watching scary movies, or pranking them; the laughs and love were endless. She also loved her fur baby Maui like she was her grandbaby.

Cheryl had many lifelong friends she cherished. Mostly she enjoyed her weekly lunch dates with Maxine and her daily coffee with her sister-in-law Kay. Cheryl touched many lives and will be greatly missed. As she always said, “Love you to the moon and back.”

She is survived by her husband Bobby H. Jackson of Decatur, IN; children, Kristie (Gary) Weiland of Decatur, Doug (Vicky) Jackson of Decatur, Chad Baker of Ft. Wayne, April (Glen)Wills of Ft. Wayne, Amanda (Corey) Andrews of Monroe, Nate Jackson of Decatur and Dustin Jackson of Ft. Wayne; 2 sisters-in-law, Kay Jackson and Sharon Kaehr both of Decatur; 15 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

Cheryl was preceded in death by a daughter, Tammy Lemons; siblings, Barney Kaehr, Gloria Inniger, Darlene West, and Patti Ludy; a great grandson.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, April 7, 2023 from 6:00-9:00 p.m. at The Hive in Downtown Decatur.
