Dan L. Stults

Dan Leon Stults, 72, of Hoagland, IN, passed away on Wednesday, November 24, 2022. He was born on November 7, 1950, in Muncie, IN, the son of Albert Stults and Evelyn (Osborn) Stults Snyder.

He worked as a truck driver for 40 years and retired from North American Van Lines.

He never knew a stranger, smiled all the time, was generous to everyone and made them feel welcomed. He loved his family more than anything. He was also the life of the party. He would be there for you in a heartbeat with no questions asked. He struggled in life too, as he lost his brothers and dad sooner than he ever should have. He made some mistakes in his life that hurt him to the core. He was always positive and never spoke badly about anyone.

Dan is survived by his mother, Evelyn Snyder of Melbourne Beach, FL; 4 children, Derek (Pam Martin) Sollars of Home, AL, Jennifer Taylor of Hoagland, IN, Julia (Harrison) DeSanto of Fairbanks, AK, and Jonathan Stults of Bend, OR; 4 sisters, Jan Morgan Brownsburg, IN, Diane “Sue” Shields of Covington, OH, Sharon Dull of Hendersonville, NC; Leslie (Mike) Morris of Melbourne Beach, FL; a sister-in-law, Connie Stults; 4 grandchildren Owen Taylor, Julian Garcia, Annabella DeSanto, and Audrey DeSanto.

He was preceded in death by his father, Albert Stults; 2 brothers, Dale Stults and Bruce Stults; step father, Frank Snyder

A private visitation and funeral will be held at Haggard-Hirschy & Zelt Funeral Home. Burial will take place in the Decatur Cemetery at a later date.
