Debra K. (Steiner) Kohne

Debra K. Kohne, 62, of Berne, Indiana, passed away at her residence on Sunday, December 28, 2025. Debra was born on November 19, 1963 in Celina, Ohio to the late Paul and Pauline (Wendel) Steiner. Debra married Patrick J. Kohne on April 16, 1988.

Debra worked as a file clerk at Kroger’s. She loved cooking, baking and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband Patrick J. Kohne of Berne, IN; 2 sons, Jon (YuLeeza) Kohne of Monroe, IN and Nick (Amanda) Kohne of Decatur, IN; 4 sisters, Linda Reed of Rockford, OH, Wanda (Dan) Ross of Willshire, OH, Barbara Steiner of Rockford, OH and Shirley (Bob) Green of Rockford, OH; 5 grandchildren, Gentry, Landry, Norah, Eleanor, and Vivian.

Visitation will be on Friday, January 2, 2026 from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Haggard-Hirschy & Zelt Funeral Home.

Funeral Services for Debra will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. also at the funeral home with Pastor Jay Carter Officiating. Calling will be 1 hour prior to services from 10:00-11:00 a.m.

Burial will follow immediately in Mazelin Cemetery, rural Berne.

Preferred memorials are to: Grandchildren’s Education Fund, checks payable to Patrick Kohne.

Arrangements are entrusted to Haggard-Hirschy & Zelt Funeral Home.
