Dorothy M. (DeSmith) Buechsenschuss

Dorothy M. Buechsenschuss, 91, of Decatur, passed away Friday, October 21, 2022, at Lutheran Life Villages in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She was born on February 13, 1931, in Toledo, Ohio, to the late Hector and Augusta (Van Newhouse) DeSmith.

She was a parishioner of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church.

Dorothy is survived by her son, Mark (Jeannie) Kempf of Decatur, IN; a daughter, Victoria (John) Kempf – Fullmer of Myakka City, FL; 3 grandchildren, Jeremy Selders, Margaret Matters, and Baron Evans; 4 great grandchildren, Kaylee Burch, Ashley Selders, Walter and Seth Matters; a great-great grandchild, Oakleigh Burch.

She was preceded in death by her daughter Lori J. Gardner; and her son Richard P. Kempf.

Private Graveside Services will be held in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
