Frieda M. (Herman) Stevens

Frieda M. Stevens, 78, of Monroeville, IN, passed away on Sunday, July 30, 2023, at Adams Heritage. She was born on February 10, 1945, in Linn Grove, IN, the daughter of Charles and Dorothy (Cave) Herman. On July 18, 1965, Frieda married Raymond E. Stevens Sr., he preceded her in death on May 23, 2002.

She was a member of the former Maranatha Baptist Church and a homemaker.

Frieda is survived by her sons, Raymond Stevens Jr. of Churubusco, IN, Earl Stevens of Decatur, IN, Elvis Stevens of the Florida Keys; daughters, Kathy Stevens and Sondra Hausauer of Decatur, IN; a brother, Leonard Herman of Geneva, IN; 17 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her son-in-law, Jason Hausauer; a daughter-in-law, Melanie Stevens; brothers, Jerry Herman, Wesley Herman, James Herman, Richard “Dick” Herman; sisters, Maxine Burgess and Ellen Butcher; 2 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren.

A Graveside Service will take place at 1:00 p.m. Friday, August 4, 2023, at East Salem Cemetery, in Decatur, IN, with Pastor Mike Wertenberger officiating. Visitation will be held for an hour, from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at Haggard-Hirschy & Zelt Funeral Home.
