Ginette K. (Moore) Beer

Ginette Kay Beer (Ginny Moore), 73, of Decatur, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 19, 2023, at Stillwater Hospice, in Fort Wayne. She was born on December 26, 1949, in Decatur, IN, the daughter of Donald G. and Lena B. (Morand) Moore. Ginette was married to Larry Beer on November 18, 2012.

She was a member of First Mennonite Church, in Berne, IN.  She was a 1967 graduate of South Adams High School in Berne, IN. She held several positions during her working career including 20 years as product representative for Puffer Swyvan Industrial Controls in Houston, Texas, retiring in 2005.

Her interests and hobbies included breeding and training dogs, volunteer church work (United Methodist), and travel. Her friends remember her fondly as a fun and interesting person to be around.

She is survived by her husband of 10 years, Larry Beer of Decatur; a son, Michael Shoemaker of Rosenburg, TX; a daughter, Nicole Gonzalez of Rosenburg, TX; a brother, John Moore of Bryant, IN; grandsons, Schane Gardner and Brian Gardner both reside in the greater Houston, TX area.

Ginney is preceded in death by her parents, and her brother, Joseph (Joe) Moore.

A memorial event will be scheduled at a later date.
