Glen W. Yager

Glen W. Yager, 81, of Monroe, passed away Thursday, November 30, 2023, at Stillwater Hospice Home. He was born in Decatur, IN, on September 1, 1942, the son of the late Samuel H. and Frieda P. (Myers) Yager. On June 27, 1964, he married Carol A. Schwartz, she preceded him in death on April 15, 2017.

Glen was born, raised and was a life time member of Pleasant Dale Church of the Brethren.

He spent his time farming, bowling and was an avid collector of Oliver tractors. Glen loved spending time with his children, grandchildren and supporting them in all they did. He retired from B.F. Goodrich and served in the United States Army Reserves.

Glen is survived by his 3 daughters, Lisa A. (Eric) Rosales of Syracuse, IN, Natalie J. (Sam) Lengerich and Heather M. (fiancé Rick Cook) Schaffter both of Monroe, IN; 2 sisters, Bernice A. Augsburger and Miriam O. (Max) Reinhard both of Berne, IN; 6 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be from Noon – 3:00 p.m. Monday, December 4, 2023 at Pleasant Dale Church of the Brethren, followed by a 3:00 p.m. graveside service in the Pleasant Dale Cemetery.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3:30 p.m. following the burial on Monday, also at the church with Pastor Jay Carter officiating.

Memorials may be made to Pleasant Dale Church of the Brethren or Indiana University Foundation-Parkinsons Research.
