Guy Thomas “Tom” Trentadue, 93, of Decatur, IN, passed away on Saturday, April 15, 2023, at Adams Memorial Hospital. He was born in Ft. Wayne, IN, on March 30, 1930, the son of the late Raffaele and Cecilia (Conteduco) Trentadue. On June 30, 1962, he married Henrietta G. Faurote and she preceded him in death on September 18, 2019.
He was a parishioner of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church and was a 1949 graduate of Central High School in Ft. Wayne.
Tom was a carpenter and worked for Arnold Lumber in Decatur for 40 years and retired in 1992. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War from 1951 – 1953.
He is survived by a son, Tom (Maureen) Trentadue of Fort Wayne; a daughter, Heidi Trentadue of Decatur; a brother, Sam (Ann) Trentadue of Pittsburgh, PA; 3 grandchildren, Austin Zink, Joe, and Judy Trentadue. He was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Trentadue and 2 sisters, Catherine Kintz and Margaret Renner.
Visitation will be from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 20, 2023, at Haggard-Hirschy & Zelt Funeral Home, with a reciting of the Holy Rosary at 3:30 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 21, 2023, in St. Mary of the Assumption Church. Father David Ruppert will be presiding and burial will immediately follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Military Graveside Rites will be rendered by the American Legion Adams Post 43 Color Guard.
