H. Joan (Johnson) Biedermann

Helen J. (Johnson) Biedermann, known as Jo, 88, of Palm Coast, Florida, formerly of Decatur, Indiana, died on June 24, 2024 at the Stuart F. Meyer Hospice House. Joan was born in Decatur, Indiana on May 20, 1936 to the late Raymond and Gladys (Whitwright) Johnson. She married Walter Biedermann and lived in Decatur, Indiana for 64 years before moving to Florida, where she lived until her passing.

In Decatur, she attended the St. Mark’s United Methodist Church and was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose 1311. She worked at the United Telephone Company for 36 years.

Surviving is her daughter Lisa (Ed) Beckett of Palm Coast, FL; daughter-in-law Rita Biedermann of Decatur, IN; 4 grandchildren Tyler, Jeniffer, Jaclyn and Kylie; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death are her husband Walter Biedermann, her son R. Scott Biedermann, infant grandson Joseph Biedermann and her brother James (Jim) Johnson.

A graveside service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 21, 2024 in Decatur Cemetery. Pastor Lyle Ewing will be officiating. Following the service, friends and family are invited to join in a celebration of life at the Moose Lodge on W. Jackson St.
