Henry R. Schmidt

Henry R. Schmidt, 23, of Decatur, passed away as a result of an accident on Saturday, January 18, 2025, in Montana. Henry was born on April 27, 2001, in Geneva, Indiana, to Enos A. and Rosie M. (Christner) Schmidt. On June 13, 2021, he married Ruth (Schwartz).

Henry is survived by his wife Ruth Schmidt; his children, Lynette and Matthew Schmidt; parents, Enos A. and Rosie M. Schmidt; siblings, Martin, Enos, Nathan, Matthew, Levi, Paul, Harvey, Rosemary, Clara, Adeline, Edwin, Jacob, and Jonas; father-in-law & mother-in-law, Joe L.D. and Elizabeth D. (Eicher) Schwartz; several brother-in-laws & sister-in-laws.

Visitation will be held at 3310 E. 200 N. Decatur, IN., on Friday, January 24, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m., and Saturday, January 25, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. - 7:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, January 26, 2025, at 8:30 a.m. with burial to follow at East Salem Cemetery.
