Hubert D. Isch

Hubert D. Isch, 87, of Decatur, IN, passed away on Monday, January 2, 2023, at Adams Woodcrest. He was born in Decatur, IN, on January 22, 1935, the son of the late Ralph S. and Opal L. (Walters) Isch. He married Roberta D. Mathys on January 29, 1956, and after 65 years together she preceded him in death on August 14, 2021.

He was a member of Zion United Church of Christ in Decatur and was a 1953 graduate of Adams Central. He worked for the Adams County Highway Department and went on to be the manager for Sherwin-Williams Paints.

Hubert then began his most notable career of being a Real Estate Broker with Ed Sprunger Real Estate & Auctioneers for 30 years.

He is survived by his 2 daughters, Susan Isch of Nashville, TN and Sally (Allen) Pinkham of Ft. Wayne; 2 brothers, Dave Isch and Larry Isch of Decatur; a sister-in-law, Lois Isch of Decatur; numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, John Isch and Fred Isch; step father, Paul Lillich; 2 step brothers and 2 step sisters.

A Graveside Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, January 6, 2023, in the Decatur Cemetery, with The Rev. Randy Rossman officiating.

Preferred memorials can be given to Zion United Church of Christ or Heart to Heart Hospice.
