James R. Florio

James R. “Jim” Florio, 52, of Decatur, passed away on Wednesday, May 25, 2022, at his residence. He was born in Ft. Wayne, IN, on June 18, 1969, to Debra A. (Scott) Beeks and the late Danny Ray Florio.

He is survived by his mother, Debra Beeks of Decatur; his daughter, Faith “Francis” Florio of San Antonio, TX; ex-wife, Sally Boone-Florio; and many extended family and friends across the country.

In his recent years, he enjoyed taking naps, smoking cigarettes, and fishing. James worked hard his entire life. A loving father, son, partner, and friend, he will be missed dearly.

Friends and family may gather to celebrate James’ life on Wednesday, June 1, 2022, from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Haggard-Sefton-Hirschy & Zelt Funeral Home.
