Jane M. (Wagner) Ottenweller

Jane M. Ottenweller, 84, of Hoagland, IN, passed away on Monday, August 29, 2022, at Adams Heritage. She was born in Yoder, IN, on September 17, 1937, the daughter of the late Herbert and Helena (Pitzen) Wagner. On August 12, 1961, she married Robert D. Ottenweller.

She was a lifelong parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church – Hessen Cassel. She was a Registered Nurse at St. Joseph’s Hospital for several years and then worked the majority of her life as a homemaker.

Jane is survived by her husband of 61 years, Robert Ottenweller of Hoagland; daughter, Katie (Steve) Stronczek of Ft. Wayne; son, Tom (Amy) Ottenweller of Hoagland; daughter, Sara (Nick) Kohrman of Hoagland; a brother, Steve Wagner; a sister, Ann Fey; 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Susan Helen Ottenweller on July 18, 2008; a brother, Tim Wagner; 3 sisters, Evelyn Bubb, Rose Weldon, and Alice Wagner.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 31, 2022, in St. Joseph Catholic Church – Hessen Cassel. Father William Kummer will be presiding and burial will immediately follow in St. Joseph Catholic Church Cemetery – Hessen Cassel.

In lieu of flowers and other remembrances please consider giving memorials to Masses at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Adams Heritage Retirement, or Eleos Hospice Care.
