John B. Aker

John B. Aker, 79, of Decatur, passed away Saturday, February 3, 2024, at Lutheran Hospital. He was born in Mendon, Ohio, on November 26, 1944, the son of Raymond and Cleo (Bennett) Aker. John was married to Susan E. Bowman, she preceded him in death on March 28, 2008.

He served in the United States Army, was employed at Fleetwood and retired from there.

John is survived by his daughters, Krissa Aker and Joni Aker both of Decatur; siblings, Sylvia McBride and Tim Aker both of Arizona, Nancy Schott, Kathy Shaw, Jeanne Ripple, David Aker all of Bluffton, and Kenny Aker of Decatur; a granddaughter, Padin Grove.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Larry Aker.

A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
