Joshua J. Gonzalez

Joshua "Josh" J. Gonzalez, 53, of Decatur, IN passed away Saturday, February 8, 2025, at Parkview Hospital in Ft. Wayne surrounded by family. He was born in Bluffton, IN on February 9, 1971, the son of Joe B. and Sharon "Sherry" K. (Ginger) Gonzalez. On August 21, 1993, he married Cynthia "Cindy" K. Meyer.

He fought a long battle with End Stage Renal Disease and tried to make the most of each day. He will be remembered for his unwavering strength.

He is survived by his 2 sons, Christopher L, Gonzalez, Decatur, IN and Ryan M, Gonzalez, Decatur, IN, a brother, David (Tricia) Gonzalez, Decatur, IN, 2 sisters, Shelly (Troy) Gerke, Fort Wayne, IN, and Teresa Etzler, LaGrange County, IN, mother-in-law, Betty (Dan) Meyer, Decatur, IN, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Greg and Yong Mi Meyer, Decatur, IN, sister-in-law, Debbie Meyer, Decatur, IN and brother-in-law, Jeff Meyer, Decatur, IN, many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great nephews.

Josh was proceeded in death by his father, Joe B. Gonzalez, mother, Sharon "Sherry" K. (Ginger) Gonzalez, father-in-law, Daniel "Dan" J. Meyer.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at Haggard-Hirschy & Zelt Funeral Home. The family asks that you dress in casual attire.

Burial will take place in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery at a later date. 

Memorials may be made to Adams County Council on Aging.
