Junior B. Schmidt

Junior B. Schmidt, 64, of Decatur, passed away on Monday, August 8, 2022, at his residence. He was born on November 5, 1957, in Rockford, Ohio, the son of the late Joseph E. and Pearl E. (Beldon) Schmidt. On April 14, 1979, he married Angela K. Ross.

He was an owner & operator of Triple SSS Logging, for 30 years. Junior enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, tinkering in his shop, hunting and fishing.

Junior is survived by his wife of 43 years, Angela Schmidt of Decatur; 2 daughters, Jessica Schmidt and Dedra (Jed) Roop both of Decatur; a son, Caine Schmidt of Decatur; 2 brothers, Ed Schmidt of Canada, Dan Schmidt of Willshire, OH; 3 sisters, Jane (Dick) Dailey of Linn Grove, Marceil Schmidt of Celina, OH, Martha Kay Horton of St. Mary’s, OH; a grandson, Quinton Schmidt.

He was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Pat, Richard and Larry Schmidt; 2 sisters, Ruth Kinney and Carolyn Robertson.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 – 7:00 p.m. Thursday, August 11, 2022, at Haggard-Sefton-Hirschy & Zelt Funeral Home.

A Celebration of Junior’s Life will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 13, 2022, at his brother Dan Schmidt’s House, 15137 St. Rt. 49, Willshire, Ohio.
