Justin I. Chivington, 26, of Berne, IN, passed away on Thursday, August 17, 2023 at his residence. Justin was born on March 15, 1997 in Lima, Ohio to Jason A. Chivington and April L. Birchfield.
Justin had been a welder for 3 years at Poseidon Barge in Berne. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed catching turtles; he also had a love for riding his motorcycle. Justin loved being a dad, spending time with his family, hanging out with friends and making those around him smile.
Justin is survived by his father, Jason Chivington; his mother, April Birchfield, his son, Benson Chivington; 2 brothers, Drew Hire and Noah Birchfield; 4 sisters, Kasey Collier, Katelynn Hire, Brianna Chivington, and Morgan Birchfield; paternal grandfather, Bill Chivington, paternal grandmother, Cathy Arganbright, and maternal grandfather, Larry Birchfield.
A memorial visitation will be on Wednesday, August 23, 2023 from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. at Haggard-Hirschy & Zelt Funeral Home.
Preferred memorials are to Benson’s Education Fund.
