Karl R. "Randy" Beber

Karl R. “Randy” Beber, 73, of Decatur, passed away on Tuesday, October 22, 2024 at his residence. Randy was born in Fort Wayne on June 15, 1951 to the late Karl D. and Dolly A. (Ormiston) Beber. Randy married Donna (Hoffman) Roe on October 7, 2023; they have been together for 32 years.

Randy graduated from South Side High School in 1970. For most of his life, he was in the RV Industry where he was a superintendent at Fleetwood.

Randy was an avid card player, loved going to casinos, and buying things on online auctions, and enjoyed barbequing and smoking meats. He was in the Corner Café Breakfast Club, loved Harleys and classic cars especially corvettes. Randy and Donna had a lake home on Jimmerson Lake for 20 years. Randy had a great sense of humor and loved spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by his wife Donna Beber of Decatur; 3 children, Shelley (Scott) Kinder of Grabill, Kristy Beber (Brian Bartelheim) of Leo; Chad Beber of Indianapolis; 3 step-children, Brooke (Mark) Hindenlang of Decatur, Lane (Tammy) Roe of Decatur and Jamie Roe of Berne; 6 siblings, Karen Felger of Arcola, Kirby (Julie) Beber, Brian Beber, Alyce Eash, Eric Beber and Robin Beber all of Fort Wayne; 8 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and 1 on the way.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, October 25, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. at Haggard-Hirschy & Zelt Funeral Home, 225 W. Adams St., Decatur, with Pastor Jamie Conkling officiating. Visitation will be prior to services from 12:00 – 3:00 p.m.

Preferred memorials are to Donor’s Choice.
