Katherine M. (Grubb) Ross

Katherine "Kay" Grubb Ross passed away peacefully on January 6, 2026, with her nieces by her side. Kay was born on July 13, 1939, to Lawrence "Pat" Grubb and Sarah Foust Grubb. She married Jack Ross on June 27, 1959, he proceeded her in death.  

Kay is survived by her niece, Susan (Jeffrey) McLemore of Fergus Falls, MN, and several other nieces and nephews.  

Kay was loved by many. She often adopted nieces, nephews, and grandchildren, all holding a special place in her heart.  

Kay worked for K-Mart and Val's Department Stores for many years making many special friendships. She was a member of Cornerstone Community Church.  

A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, January 12, 2026, at Haggard-Hirschy and Zelt Funeral Home in Decatur. Viewing will be from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will take place in Blue Creek Township Cemetery in Haviland, OH, at a later date.
