Kenneth A. "Kenny" Braun, 70 of Decatur, passed away on Thursday, November 16, 2023 at Parkview Hospital following an extended illness. Kenny was born on August 11, 1953 in Decatur, IN to the late Eugene A. and Virginia L. (Cagnet) Braun.
Kenny was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Decatur and Knights of Columbus 864. Over the years, He worked for Fleetwood, GE, and Prestress. Kenny was an avid racing fan attending many Indy 500, Nascar, and NHRA events. He was also a huge Chicago Bears and Notre Dame Football fan. Kenny loved music and concerts. He deeply valued his many lifelong friends.
Survivors include his 5 siblings; Brother, Dennis (Julie) Braun of Fort Wayne, IN, Brother, James (Donette) Braun of Fort Wayne, IN, Sister, Dianna (Randall) Vetter of Decatur, Brother, John Braun of Decatur, and Brother, Shaun (Sheri) Braun of Decatur; 10 nephews and nieces; Nick (Natasha) Braun, Clint (Abbee) Vetter, Janelle (Mitchell) Gearhart, Brandon (Shannon) Braun, Casey (Katie) Vetter, Sommer (Dan) Laatz, Morgan (John) Snowball, Parker (Samantha) Braun, Hailey Braun, and Taylor Braun.
Per Kenny's wishes there will be no funeral service and a private family celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Memorials can be made through Haggard-Hirschy and Zelt Funeral Home to Riley Children’s Hospital or the Disabled American Veterans.
