Kenneth E. Grim, 87 of Decatur, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, September 9, 2023 at Stillwater Hospice. Kenneth was born in Decatur on November 18, 1935 to the late Francis and Mary (Bartlett) Grim. On November 24, 1956, he married Sharon Herman.
Kenneth was a parishioner of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church. After high school he went to work for Schafer Glove factory, where he worked for 26 years, then worked for Zollner Pistons in Fort Wayne, where he then retired from.
Kenneth served his country in the National Guard and was a lifetime member of the Moose Lodge 1311.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Sharon Grim of Decatur; 4 daughters, Debbie (Carlos) Pierce of Decatur, Karen (Robert) Everett of Decatur, Pam (Dan) Strader of Willshire, OH and Michelle (Robert) Thiebaud of Decatur; a sister, Patricia Heiser of Decatur; 13 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren.
Kenneth was preceded in death by a brother Robert Grim.
Private family services are being held on Tuesday, with Fr. David Ruppert presiding. Private burial to follow in Decatur Cemetery, with Military graveside rites by American Legion Post 43 Color Guard.
Preferred memorials are to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
