Marilyn S. (Reidenbach) Baughman

Marilyn S. Baughman, 73, of Decatur, Indiana passed away on Monday, November 13, 2023 at Adams Memorial Hospital.  

She was born on January 1, 1950 in Wells County Hospital, Bluffton, Indiana, to the late Carl and Lucille (Laudahn) Reidenbach. She married Joe Meyer on July 28, 1972. He preceded her in death on June 1, 1994. Marilyn was united in marriage to Robert Baughman on May 20, 2000 and he survives.

Marilyn was a member of Zion United Church of Christ where she assisted in the nursery and greeting members when she was still able. She was a dental assistant for many years. She later worked as an Admission Clerk and Billing associate at Adams Memorial Hospital for 15 years.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Baughman of Decatur; daughter, Wendy Meyer-Peich of Lake Zurich, IL; son, Matthew Meyer of Deerfield, IL; brother, Bruce (Jeanne) Reidenbach of Decatur, IN and three grandsons, Owen, Caden and Ashton Peich of Lake Zurich, IL.

In addition to her parents and first husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Max Reidenbach; and a sister, Bonnie Magley.

She loved spending time with her children, grandsons, friends, and family. She enjoyed camping, traveling, and especially loved dogs, hers and everyone else’s. 

Visitation will be from 3:00-7:00 p.m. on Friday, November 17, 2023 at Haggard-Hirschy & Zelt Funeral Home.

A Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 18, 2023 in Zion United Church of Christ, with calling 1 hour prior to service from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Pastor James Compton will be officiating and burial will follow in Decatur Cemetery.

Preferred memorials are to Zion United Church of Christ or Lennoxs Legacy Rescue Inc.
