Mary Alice (Hawkins) Bauman

Mary Alice Bauman, 97, of Fort Wayne, passed away Monday, September 2, 2024, at Coventry Meadows in Fort Wayne. She was born in Monroeville, IN, on April 18, 1927, the daughter of the late Leroy and Mable (Sprauge) Hawkins. On September 27, 1952, she married Amos Bauman, he preceded her in death on June 12, 2020.

She was a member of Liberty Mills Church of the Nazarene in Fort Wayne. Mary Alice was a homemaker. Her faith and family were very important to her. She had a love of music, a positive attitude, and a sense of humor. Mary Alice also loved to paint. She enjoyed many winters in Lauderdale-by-the-Sea, Florida, with her late husband, Amos.

Mary Alice is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 5 brothers and 3 sisters.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 7, 2024 at

Liberty Mills Church of the Nazarene, 10621 Liberty Mills Rd., Fort Wayne, IN, followed by a 12:30 p.m. funeral service. Officiating the funeral service and graveside will be Pastor Wes Ball.

 Burial will follow in the Decatur Cemetery, in Decatur, IN.

Memorials may be made to Liberty Mills Church of the Nazarene.
