Max T. Meyers, 88, of Decatur, passed away Saturday, November 11, 2023, at Lutheran Hospital. He was born on December 10, 1934, in Adams County, the son of William J. and Edna C. (Busse) Meyers.
He was a parishioner of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church.
Max was served in the United States Army, during the Korean Conflict. He was self-employed and was an avid skier.
He is survived by his niece, Anne M. (Christopher) Janku of Columbia, MO; his brother-in-law, Francis Dannerbeck; great nephew, Joseph (Ashley) Kaylen, and their children Jacob and Josie; great niece, Maria (Nathan) Miller, and their children Markus and Lukas;
great niece Kristina (Aaron) Ordway.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, November 27, 2023, in St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, with Father David Ruppert presiding. An Inurnment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, with Military gravesite rites by American Legion Post 43 Color Guard.
Memorials may be made to St. Joseph Catholic School or Masses.
