Max E. Reidenbach, 82, of Decatur, IN, passed away at his residence on Tuesday, December 13, 2022. Max was born to the late Carl and Lucille (Laudahn) Reidenbach on November 28, 1940 in Monroeville, Indiana. On April 23, 1960, Max married Joyce Ann Davis. She preceded him in death on July 26, 2017.
He was a member of Zion United Church of Christ in Decatur. Max was self-employed as a grain and dairy farmer. He also worked for Tokheim in Ft. Wayne for 25 plus years, Mr. Planner’s in Decatur, and Co-op Ag Plus in Woodburn for several years. Max was a life time member of the Tri-State Gas Engine & Tractor Association in Portland and loved antique tractors. He was a 50-year member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Adams Lodge #1311. Max loved his family, and the time they spent together; he also loved camping with them all too. Max loved animals, especially his companion dog Lucky.
Max is survived by a son, Kip (Carolyn) Reidenbach of Decatur, a daughter, Rena’ Leonard (partner, Barth King) of Tiffin, OH; a brother, Bruce (Jeanne) Reidenbach of Decatur; a sister, Marilyn (Bob) Baughman of Decatur; 7 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Kirk Reidenbach and a sister, Bonnie Magley.
Visitation will be from 3:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday, December 16, 2022 at Haggard-Hirschy & Zelt Funeral Home.
A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 17, 2022 in Zion United Church of Christ, with calling 1 hour prior to service from 9:00-10:00. Officiating will be Rev. Randy Rossman and burial will take place in the Decatur Cemetery.
Preferred memorials are to Zion United Church of Christ, Eleos Hospice or ACCF Good Samaritan Fund.
