Michael Karl Kolter, 67, of Decatur, IN, passed away on Friday, December 9, 2022, at Adams Memorial Hospital. He was born on August 23, 1955, to the late Karl and Elizabeth (Hersh) Kolter. He had previously been united in marriage to Sandy (Johnson) Kolter, who remained his companion until she preceded him in death on July 3, 2019.
Mike had been enjoying his life of retirement after working at Dolco for many years. He was the owner/operator of Family Tree Antiques. Mike was an avid collector of antiques and spent his free time rooting for his favorite NFL team, the Green Bay Packers.
Mike is survived by his sister, Sharon Doty of Decatur, IN; 3 children, Ben Kolter, Nikki (Ryan) Kolter and Summer (Jeffery) Brown; 2 step-children, June (Rick) Stagen and Mark (Amie) McBride; 13 grandchildren plus one on the way; 4 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his step-son, Randy Weiland and granddaughter, Angel Kolter.
On account of Mike’s wishes, there will be no services. Burial will take place in Decatur Cemetery, at a later date.
