Nolan L. Griffiths

Nolan L. Griffiths, 88, of Decatur, passed away on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at Adams Woodcrest. He was born on December 1, 1936, in Adams County, IN, the son of William G. and Naomi M. (Deeren) Griffiths. On June 22, 1957, Nolan married Lorraine Walters, after 61 years of marriage, she preceded him in death on March 27, 2019.

Nolan was a lifelong farmer in Kirkland Township, Adams County, Indiana. He worked for International Harvester for 30 years. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. Nolan proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He was a member of the National Rifle Association, the American Legion Post 43 and a 4-H Leader for more than 40 years

Nolan is survived by his 2 sons, Samuel (Lana) Griffiths and William (Diane) Griffiths both of Decatur, IN; a sister, Evelyn Zurcher of Celina, OH; a grandson, Benton Griffiths.

He was preceded in death by his son, Mark Alan Griffiths; a sister, Margaret Robinson; and a brother, Keith Griffiths.

A private burial was held in Pleasant Dale Cemetery, with Military Rites rendered by the American Legion Post 43 Color Guard.

Memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church or Adams County 4-H Rifle Club.
