Paul C. Jones

Paul C. Jones, 96, of Berne, passed away Monday evening, September 1, 2025, at Envive of Berne. He was born in Berne, IN, on February 18, 1929, the son of the late Orval C. and Vera G. (Swoveland) Jones. On May 27, 1949, Paul married Margaret P. Luginbill, she preceded him in death on October 30, 2020.

He attended Mt. Hope Church of the Nazarene and was a life-long farmer.

Paul is survived by his daughters, Janice I. Jones and Donna M. Jones both of Berne, IN; 2 sisters, Shirley Stoehr of Decatur, IN, and Iris Sprunger of Berne, IN.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 71 years, Margaret Jones; 3 sisters, Ruth Myers, Juanita Beer & Lucille Myers.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, September 5, 2025, at Haggard-Hirschy & Zelt Funeral Home, with visitation prior to the service from 12:30 – 2:30 p.m. Pastor Travis Tackett will be officiating and burial will follow in Mt. Hope/Willard Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to Mt. Hope Church.
