Rhonda (Rounds) Kahlert

Rhonda L. Kahlert, 59, of Decatur, passed away on Tuesday, September 20, 2022, at her residence. She was born on October 12, 1962, in Fort Wayne, IN, the daughter of the late Richard and Rosemary (Mattes) Rounds. On September 12, 1987, she married Michael Kahlert.

She was a parishioner of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church.

Rhonda worked for the Adams County Government, Thunderbird Products and Waterfield Mortgage.

Above all, Rhonda was a devoted wife and mother. She was a woman of strong faith and will be greatly missed.

Rhonda is survived by her husband of 35 years, Mike Kahlert of Decatur; 2 daughters, Ashley (Quenton) Benya and Jennifer Kahlert both of Decatur; a son, Benjamin Kahlert of Decatur;

a sister, Lori (Kevin) King of Fishers, IN; a brother, Todd (Beth) Rounds of Iowa; a sister-in-law, Joyce Rounds; 3 grandchildren, Sydney, Lincoln and Jensen Benya.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Gregg Rounds.

A Memorial Mass be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, September 30, 2022, at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, with 1 hour memorial visitation prior to the mass, from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. in the St. Mary's Parish Hall. Father David Ruppert will be presiding.

Memorials may be made to Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana.
