Richard G. Clark

Richard (Dick) G. Clark, 92, died at home on September 13, 2022.  Dick was born in Yoder, Indiana on November 24, 1929.  Dick was the son of Henry and Glenna Clark.  

Dick graduated from Elmhurst High School and joined the United States Navy.  Dick was an engineer aboard the USS Chilton and was proud of his naval service.  While in the navy Dick married his wife Carleen who was the love of his life and they were fortunate to spend 66 wonderful years together.  After being honorably discharged from the navy, Dick became a crane operator and set steel on numerous buildings in Fort Wayne.  Dick loved to get everyone together for family meals.  Dick enjoyed fishing, playing video games, the challenge of fixing things that broke and the companionship of his four rescue cats.  

Dick is survived by his daughters Cheryl Clark-Ramsey and Sheri (Paul) Smith both of Fort Wayne. 

Funeral Service will be held at 2pm Friday, September 16, 2022 at Haggard-Hirschy and Zelt Funeral Home with visitation prior from noon until time of service.  Burial will follow in Decatur Cemetery, with Military Honors by American Legion Post #43 Color Guard. 

Memorials may be given to EB Feline Re-homing Service in Fort Wayne.
