Robert A. Anderson

Robert A. Anderson, 87, of Decatur, IN passed away on Thursday, June 6, 2024 at Adams Woodcrest. Robert, the son of the late Orton B. and Norma (Caswell) Anderson was born on July 10, 1936 in Fort Wayne. On May 8, 2006, Robert married Shirley Hubbard.

Robert attended New Hope Church. He is retired as a tire inspector and served as an UAW Union Stewart for BF Goodrich.

Robert is survived by his wife, Shirley Anderson of Decatur; his children, Tiara (Steve) Bremer, Tanya (Brian) Grimes, Todd (Susan) Anderson and Tracy Johnson; step children, Terrie (Steve) Moser, Susan Carver, and Obie (Mary Rose) Pierce; brother, Herbert E. Anderson; nephew, Herbert (Barb) Anderson Jr; 20 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his 1st wife, Judith Anderson, sister Darlene Riley, step son, Eric Armstrong and 2 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 19, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. at Haggard-Hirschy & Zelt Funeral Home, with visitation 2 hours prior from 10:00 – 12:00 p.m. Pastor Kevin August officiating.
