Roger L. Lough

Roger L. Lough, 75, of Decatur, IN, passed away at his residence on Tuesday, July 23, 2024. Roger was the son of the late James W. and Mary J. (Hirshey) Lough. He was born on June 20, 1949 in Decatur.

Roger was a truck driver his entire life. He worked for Brite Transfer and Goldshield. He served in the US Army. He was a member of the American Legion Adams Post 43, V.F.W. Post 6236, Loyal Order of Moose Adams Lodge 1311 and Eagles Aerie 2653.

Roger is survived by a daughter, Kathy (Bryan) Andrus of Hoagland; a step daughter, Nikki Ellenberger; a brother, Ronald Lough of Decatur; 2 sisters, Debbie Cummings and Susan “Sue” Lough both of Decatur; 2 grandchildren, Brandon Witte and Megan (Malaki) Sheaffer; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Roger was preceded in death by his wife, Linda K. (Waldon) Lough on July 7, 1997.

Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 30, 2024 at Haggard-Hirschy & Zelt Funeral Home with visitation 2-hours prior from 11:00 – 1:00 p.m. Janet Lough will be officiating.

Burial will follow in Decatur Cemetery with Military Graveside rites by the American Legion Post 43 Color Guard.
