Ronald R. “Ron” Black, 63, of Monroe, Indiana passed way on Saturday, April 4, 2026 at Adams Memorial Hospital. Ron, son of Ronald R. “Dick” Black and Phyllis M. (Moser) Black, was born on July 10, 1962 in Decatur, Indiana. On May 3, 1997, Ron married Michael “Myke” Hankins.
Ron attended Pleasant Dale Church of the Brethren. He had worked for G.E. and Fleetwood.
He is survived by his wife Myke Black of Monroe; his mother, Phyllis Black of Decatur; 5 children, Kayla, Melody, Riley, Trevor and Hunter Black all at home; 3 sisters, Terri (Billy) Ousley of Morton, IL, Sara Busch of Ft. Wayne and Tonya (Tom) Beavers of Decatur.
Ron was preceded in death by his father and step mother, Ronald “Dick” and Susan Black; sister, Cheryl Kempf and brother-in-law, Bill Busch.
Funeral Service for Ron will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, April 10, 2026 at Haggard-Hirschy & Zelt Funeral Home with calling prior from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. Pastor Jonathan Crandall will be officiating.
Memorials may be made to the Family (checks payable to Haggard-Hirschy & Zelt Funeral Home).
