Ronald K. Helmbright

Ronald K. Helmbright, 88, of Decatur, IN passed away on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at Lutheran Hospital. Ron was born on March 11, 1937, in Steubenville, OH, the son of the late Kenneth and Madeline M. (Swearinger) Helmbright. On October 11, 1987, Ron married Nancy A. Mies.

Ron was 1955 graduate of Steubenville High School and then went to Ohio University for 2 years. He served his country in the U.S. Army for 2 years.

He worked as a Regional Salesman for 45 years for Day International, a major supplier of printing blankets.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Nancy A. (Mies) Helmbright of Decatur; 2 children, Kenneth Helmbright and Cynthia Steele both of Springboro, OH; 3 step daughters, Kimberly Dancsok of Centerville, OH, Denise Dancsok of Bellbrook, OH and Tonya (Doug) Jones of Englewood, OH; a sister, Darlene Shively of Wintersville, OH; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Ron was preceded in death by a step son, Robert Dancsok.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later time.
