Roy F. Villagomez

Roy F. Villagomez Jr., 55, of Decatur, passed away Wednesday afternoon, June 18, 2025, at his residence. He was born on April 21, 1970, in Decatur, IN, the son of Roy F. Sr. and Lorraine H. (Smitley) Villagomez.

He was a parishioner of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church. Roy graduated from Bellmont High School in 1988, where he also played on the basketball team. He then went on to receive an Associate’s Degree in Accounting from Indiana Business College. He worked in the accounting department for Lutheran Health.

Roy enjoyed watching basketball and gaming. He loved his nieces and nephews, especially his great nieces and nephews.

He is survived by his parents, Roy Sr. and Lorraine Villagomez of Decatur; a brother, Matt (Angela) Villagomez of Decatur; a sister, Raquel Villagomez of Decatur; 6 nieces & nephews, Ashley Hargreave, Justin (Sam) Villagomez, Trey Villagomez, Cody Schaadt, Mariah (Logan) Antrim, Blade (Taylor) McEwen; 7 great nieces & nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial was offered in St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church by Father Jacob Runyon. Burial took place in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the family.
