Steven W. Christener

Steven W. Christener, 59, of Payne, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at Parkview Regional Medical Center. He was born in Decatur, IN, on December 31, 1965, the son of Gerald and the late Nelma Jean (Nunn) Christener.

He is survived by his son, Steven Swygart; 2 daughters, Megan Swygart of Columbia City, IN, and Faith Christener of Payne, OH; a brother, Shane Christener of Decatur, IN; 2 sisters, Shelly Perez – Tello of Payne, OH, and Stacy Handshoe of Decatur, IN.

Steven was preceded in death by his mother, Nelma Jean Christener and his brother, Scott Christener.

Visitation will be from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at Haggard-Hirschy & Zelt Funeral Home, with family sharing time at 6:00 p.m.

Memorials may be given to the family.
