Tamara Leigh Torson

Tamara Leigh “Tammy” Torson, 64, of Decatur, passed away Sunday morning, April 13, 2025, at Envive Healthcare of Berne. She was born on April 5, 1961, in Lafayette, Indiana, the daughter of Thomas W. Torson and Janet K. (Everhart) Torson.

Tammy loved to watch movies and read. She was a member of First United Methodist Church. She was a 1979 graduate of Bellmont High School and then went onto University of Indianapolis to get her BA in the Arts. Tammy had been a Nanny for about 25 years out East.

She is survived by her mother, Janet K. Torson; 2 brothers, Steve. E. Torson and Tom H. (Lori) Torson all of Decatur; an Aunt and Uncle, Janelle and Larry Rensberger of Syracuse, IN; 3 nephews, Colyn (Emily), Caleb (Adriana) and Conner Torson; 2 great nephews, Liam Torson and Wesley Torson and 2 on the way.

Tammy was preceded in death by her father, Thomas W. Torson.

A Private Family Memorial Service was held and burial will be in Decatur Cemetery.
