Theodore J. Geers

Theodore J. Geers, 62, of Fort Wayne, passed away Tuesday morning, August 19, 2025, at Parkview Regional Medical Center. He was born in Grand Rapids, MI, on May 17, 1963, the son of the late John S. and Norma E. (Campbell) Geers. On June 8, 1985, Theodore married Jodi M. Hawn.

He graduated from South Christian High School in 1981, and also attended Kent Skill Center. He moved to Ft. Wayne with Gordon Food Services and worked for the company for several years. Ted was a skilled woodworker and was a Master Craftsman and was the owner and operator of YB Normal Custom Woodworking.

Ted taught Sonlight Singles Sunday School Class at Blackhawk Christian Church and North Park Community Church. He was a member of The Network and was a five-time President’s Club earner with NFIB. He was currently serving as the vice president of Soarin' Hawk Raptor Rehabilitation Center.

He was an avid gun collector and hunter. He enjoyed reading books and audio books. Above all he loved his grandchildren and was an amazing PopPop.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Jodi Geers of Fort Wayne, IN; 4 children, Marcus (Jen) Geers of Decatur, IN, Eric (Laurie) Geers of Parker, CO, Rogan (Amber) Geers of Fort Wayne, IN, Katie Geers of Fort Wayne, IN; father & mother in-law, Ron and Susan Hawn of Marshalltown, IA; 2 brothers, Tim (Cyndi) Geers and Mike (Shelly) Geers both of Dorr, MI; brother & sister in-law, Michael (Elizabeth) Hawn of Jamesville, NY; 5 grandchildren, Addison, Noah, Laken, Wyatt, and Foster Geers.

A Visitation and Celebration of Ted’s Life will be from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at Grace Gathering – East – 3157 Minnich Rd., New Haven, IN.

Memorials may be made to the family.
