Theodore L. Lengerich

Theodore L. Lengerich, 86, of Berne, passed away on Thursday, August 11, 2022, at his residence. He was born on October 25, 1935, in Decatur, Indiana, the son of the late Herman A. and Amelia C. (Ulman) Lengerich.

He was a parishioner of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church and a member of its Holy Name Society. Ted attended St. Joseph Catholic School throughout his youth. He was involved with Bi-County Services for over 30 years, where he was employed in the workshop.

Ted is survived by his sister, Ruth Wilder of Decatur and brother, Mike (Pat) Lengerich of Decatur.

He was preceded in death by 8 brothers, Ed, James, Bill, Carl, Dan, John, Tony and Joe Lengerich; 3 sisters, Marge and Jean Lengerich and Mary Ellen Welling.

Visitation will be from 9:30 – 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 16, 2022, in the St. Mary’s Parish Hall, with a reciting of the Holy Rosary at 9:00 a.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 16, 2022, in St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church. Father David Ruppert will be presiding and burial will immediately follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Bi-County Services or St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
