Vickie J. (Burkhead) Meyer

Vickie J. Meyer, 75, of Decatur, passed away Monday evening, February 3, 2025, at Swiss Village in Berne. She was born in Decatur, IN, on March 15, 1949, the daughter of Merle and Alice M. (Baumgartner) Burkhead.

She attended Pleasant Dale Church of the Brethren, worked at Fleetwood, and loved her cats.

Vickie loved her family and spending time with her grandkids.

Vickie is survived by her 3 sons, Shaun (Sarah) Meyer, Nathan (Tammy) Meyer and Ricky (Kayla) Meyer all of Decatur, IN; a brother, Joe (Donna) Burkhead of Decatur, IN; a sister, Dixie (Paul) Sparks of Garrett, IN; 8 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her brother, David Smith.

Visitation will be from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. Thursday, February 6, 2025, at Haggard-Hirschy & Zelt Funeral Home. The family asks that you wear casual dress attire.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 7, 2025, at Haggard-Hirschy & Zelt Funeral Home, with visitation one hour prior to the service from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Pleasant Dale Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to ACCF Alzheimer’s Fund.
