William J. “Bill” Ehrsam, 93, of Decatur, IN, passed away on Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at Adams Woodcrest. Bill was born on August 22, 1930, the son of the late William and Tillie (Klopfenstein) Ehrsam. He married Bonnie Custer on November 8, 1957. She survives.
Bill was a graduate of Monroe High School. He was an avid golfer and supporter of Adams Central Athletics. He attended Monroe Lighthouse Church. Bill retired from Zollner’s in Ft. Wayne and served in the U.S. Army.
He is survived by a sister, Mary Lou (Fred) Yoder of Berne.
He is preceded in death by his 4 siblings, Glen “Mike” Ehrsam, Catherine Roudebush, Alice M. Roudebush, and Robert Lee “Jim” Ehrsam
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 27, 2023 at Haggard-Hirschy & Zelt Funeral Home, with visitation prior from Noon-2:00 p.m. Officiating will be Pastor Troy Green and Pastor David Myers.
Burial will be in Ray Cemetery with Military gravesite rites by American Legion Adams Post 43 Color Guard.
Preferred memorials are to Adams Central Athletics.
